St. Thomas 𑁋 2019 was a year of many firsts for State of the Territory News. In December of 2018, the online newspaper brought on its first two writers. As 2019 progressed, two more writers joined the team and a new editor succeeded the founder.

Our Mission in 2020?
We’ve been asked about our mission for 2020 and what to expect. Interestingly enough, we don’t have any new goals for 2020. State of the Territory News has remained in a constant state of evolution since launching in 2017. Each new project and initiative has formed a continuum as we work to connect all the pieces along the way.
In 2020 you’ll see our projects and digital investments come together to create a more fluid news product for our growing readership. On behalf of the Mint Team, we’d like to say thank you to our readers and supporters — and a warm thank you to the amazing writers who submitted stories and ideas in 2019.
Team Chatter — The online newspaper’s creative director hopes to reach a new audience in 2020 to expand the team’s social media presence. State of the Territory News maintains an inactive Snapchat handle (also @sottvi) that the team’s product manager could revive to jumpstart Makiel’s vision for 2020.
