4/20 ‘Educational Summit & Medical Marijuana Expo’ Set for Hull Bay

St. Thomas — Support De Ting presents “Inna Cannabis World” Educational Summit and Medical Marijuana Expo in Hull Bay for this upcoming 4/20. The term 4/20 refers to cannabis culture, including the consumption of cannabis, especially smoking cannabis around the time 4:20 p.m. and also refers to cannabis-oriented celebrations that take place annually on April 20.

The Education Summit set to take place on April 20th, 2019 at the Hull Bay Hideaway is the first of its kind now that medical marijuana was signed into law in January, legalizing the substance for medical use in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The bill, which started in the 32nd Legislature in late 2018 was signed into law by Governor Albert Bryan Jr. in January.

2019 is an unusual year in the Virgin Islands. Just recently, Department of Agriculture commissioner nominee Positive T. Nelson appeared in popular pro-cannabis magazine Dope Magazine, featuring Nelson in their video series Dope Life to lobby for cannabis reform on the state and federal level.

The Educational Summit and Medical Marijuana Expo hosted by Support De Ting this Saturday will feature artists like Ras Batch & Empress Ima, Melame GAnge, Revelation Da Royal, and Lila Ike, a Jamaican artist. Tickets are priced at $20.
